We purchased a liberty plus 6 months ago as we built our dream house in a mozzie and midge invested area. We had full intentions of screening our alfresco area but we took your advice and waited to see how we would go with our mozzie magnet. I must admit that I was sceptical and hesitant to part with the money, after talking to you heaps of times and then finally purchasing one I can honestly say it is the best purchase we have made, our daughter who is 4 yrs old has never required insect repellent on her this season, she is always in the pool or on the trampoline and has not been attacked. Our backyard is virtually mozzie and midge free. I get attacked when I go to friends houses in our area and my husband said "wouldn't it be great if everyone had a mozzie magnet' our whole area would be free of the biting insects.. I will be honest our front yard is a problem and you told me at the very start that I would probably require another machine for the front. We just spend very limited time out the front but we are constantly having neighbours over in the backyard.
I would recommend this machine to anyone that is thinking about living in Coomera waters or Hope Island areas.

Having lived on 5 acres for a couple of decades and being plagued by the bitie little flying critters, we have tried many products to enable us to enjoy the outdoors at all times of the day. Regardless of cost, we had not had a success until we purchased our Mosquito Magnet three years ago. What a joy! Life outdoors, around our house, is a pleasure and we have encouraged friends who live in the vicinity to also investigate the Mosquito Magnet, especially when we observe their frantic and often futile attempts to direct mosquitoes to another area away from humans. We know that we have had a win because there are still many mozzies around, but not near our house and recreational activities. All this without resorting to insecticides.
Maybe we could aspire to forming a "Mozzie Magnet" chain and saving the world from the dreaded diseases that can result from the humble mosquito.

Our house is situated next to a salt water creek with undisturbed environmental reserves on the other three sides. This is all natural rain forest. We have had a liberty magnet for 2 years and have found it to be the most successful thing we have used against sand flies and mosquitoes.

I have two Liberty Mosquito Magnets on my property at Killcare, N.S.W. which is in a natural bush land setting. The machines cover the front and rear of our home.
The machines selectively catch 1000s of mosquitoes. Mosquito Magnet is very selective, leaving other insects alone. What a difference, our neighbour has just purchased one and we are turning an unbearable situation into an environment where outside activity is hardly affected.

As we live in the northern rivers area of northern NSW in particular the Byron Shire the high rainfall and humidity is a perfect environment for mosquitoes to breed.
In January 2006 from 17th-21st 2006 we received 17" of rain and very warm weather. The Mosquito Magnet captured thousands of mozzies and we were able to use our outdoor sitting area as usual.
Our neighbours beyond our "magnets" capture area could not walk to their letter boxes without being bitten by mozzies and midges.
We have had our Magnet for over 3 ½ years and it works.

For my wife and self the purchase of the Liberty Mosquito Magnet in December 2005 was a big decision, as neither of us work and have no fixed income.
Our main reason was to enjoy outdoor activities around the house and garden. We have been so impressed with the results and the amount of midges, mosquitoes and March flies caught have been over whelming. In our area we may never be rid of the biting insects, but it certainly has given us a better outdoor life style during the day and night. I have enclosed to photos showing mosquitoes, sandflies and March flies trapped on March 17th, 18th, 19th and 21st.

Since acquiring our Mosquito Magnet we have been able to sit out at night on the back balcony or in the garden. We certainly know it when gas runs out and I have failed to replace it quickly enough. Money well spent!!!

Mosquito season was unbearable on our lakeside garden property even inside our home during the nights was unpleasant - despite substantial screening and insect zappers - that was before the Mosquito Magnet. This summer sitting for nibbles or meals outside has been mosquito and midge free - what a pleasure to be able to swim in the pool in the evenings.
I recommend this product - pricey, but certainly effective.

We have had the Liberty model for some years now. Our property is 10 acres of native Manna-gum woodland on an island. We are bordered by dense scrub and bracken fern on Crown land which is a breeding ground for the mosquitoes.
We probably need two units - one at the front of the house and one at the rear.
We have seen a noticeable reduction in mozzie numbers over the years and highly recommend the unit.

Our "Liberty" Mosquito Magnet really has made a substantial difference to the mosquito activity in our garden. We live near a creek, where there is a lot of activity and the machine has helped make out door life manageable.

We purchase the Liberty Plus machine because our home was so infested with mossies and midges that we couldn't even play outside or enjoy a barbeque without being eaten alive.
My children became so infected with bites that one ended up in hospital, so we purchased the Mosquito magnet and in the first month reduced our problem by 70%. It's now been 5 months and we only have the odd mozzie or so.
It was well worth the price and we now have our lifestyle back.

When I first purchased the Mosquito Magnet I admit to being a little skeptical as to how effective it would be. We live in the on 2½ acres with trees around the house and a couple of ponds. The unit has however proven its worth as we now are almost free of the biting pests and can sit outside and enjoy ourselves, something we were unable to do before, so a big thank you for that.

I recently moved to a 2½-acre area, not realizing the sandfly population far out numbered the human population. We did our research and the Mosquito Magnet seemed superior to anything else on the market. Through skeptical and a bit hesitant at the price I figured we could give it a go and return it within 30 days I not happy with the results. That was 6 months ago and the Mosquito Magnet is now my best friend! My family can now enjoy being outside without paying for it and scratching for days after. The maintenance on this machine is less than what it was costing us in repellants and a whole lot healthier to young children and myself. The after sales service is as superior as the machine. Thanks to Claire and the team at Mosquito Magnet my children and I no longer have horrible scabs all over our skin. It really does make a difference! What have you got to loose. (Except for itching and scabs)

Our farm is in the bushland hills near the sea, so we’ve been plagued by mosquitoes – but worse – the sandflies. No more. The odd one comes through, usually with a change in wind direction, but gone are the nocturnal mozzies that zoom in on your ear in the middle of the night.

St Joseph’s Primary, Port Macquarie is situated near a body of water,
and our playground soils are sandy. As a result, we have had always a
problem with both mozzies and sand- flies.

We have had a Mozzie Magnet installed since the beginning of 2003.

Dear Clare,
 
As promised some time back, an update on our pest attack. Because of the
physical location of Lucinda (one has to drive through mangrove to get here)
it could probably be described as the sandfly and mozzie capital of Australia. Our
complex is situated on the banks of Enterprise Channel, which is basically
a tidal estuary, that runs into the Hinchinbrook Channel. The complex is surrounded on the other three sides by mangroves. Traditionally the morning ritual has been to apply the insect repellent very liberally, only the very brave or very stupid venture outdoors in the early morning or late afternoon with no protection.
 
The original Liberty unit was installed in the Pool area in March this year and still continues to astound everyone with its performance. Because of the results of this unit the decision was make to try to form a barrier around the complex to either control or to eliminate the bities completely. A further 8 Libertys have since been installed, with 4 Defenders still to come. I doubt that we will ever eliminate the problem completely, but with the continuing catches, I have no doubt that we are having a huge effect on their numbers purely by destroying their breeding cycles.
 
It is difficult to put numbers on our catches, and a number of factors need to be considered when trying to do so. Continued dry, cool weather, strong winds etc. all have an effect on catch numbers. To give you some idea (catch wise), in the best unit, in ideal conditions we have filled a large Vegemite jar in 2 days. At the same time, the worst unit caught about a tablespoon full. In less than ideal conditions the best unit still catches a tablespoon full and the worst about 20/50 on some days. I trust you will understand that it is fairly hard to count sandflies!!!! I have noticed that if the net has a large amount of mozzies, they tend to destroy the sandflies.
 
From a guest point of view, an increasing number of repeat guests comment on the declining problem. As time progresses, my feeling is that the biting insect numbers will continue to decrease and this has a flow on effect on the overall complex. Even at this early stage it has been suggested that we may be able to promote ourselves as a “bite free zone” sometime in the future.
Anyway, enough of this, I have work to do!!!!!!!!!

I have always had trouble with mosquitoes – because they like my blood.
I found I would be bitten on the smallest bit of flesh exposed and would
end up with many itchy bites.
Since using the Mozzie Magnet this is no longer a problem
and I can go outside or inside without covering myself from head to toe.

We have been using your Mozzie Magnet, Liberty model, only since early December 2002, some 7 seven weeks. We have a house with a large garden on 3000 square metres, and includes a fernery with frog pond, a real haven for mosquitoes and other insects. Whereas we found it almost impossible to venture outside in the garden in previous summers we are now more relaxed and the pest problem lessens every week. So we have no hesitation in saying the Mozzie Magnet is effective, one has only to look at all the mosquitoes in the net each week.
